Margot de Taxco Silver Earrings

This is a classic Margot Van Voorhies silver design, she's better known as Margot de Taxco and these pieces are a good example of what most of her designs were all about. I call it angel's wings and others know this design as silver feathers but it doesn't matter how you call them, their beauty is undeniable.
These silver pieces were completely handmade by Melesio Rodriguez, former silversmith that worked in Margot's workshop for a little over 10 years. He is in his eighties now, but he's still working and reproducing these beautiful pieces of jewelry, just like he used to in the 1950's and 60's. He uses the same molds from that time as well to create these silver pieces of art.

These are beautiful feminine pieces with a special feature complements the whole composition even more, the darker oxidized silver sections that add some depth in the right spots to add a bigger impact to the eye. It's important to note that the silver earrings carry the original mold number, as well as Melesio's hallmark and the words "Taxco, Mexico" and .950, meaning that these earrings were made with a better quality silver than the most common .925.
Please take a look into the "size and weight" tab above for more details on the features for these earrings.

We also carry the matching bracelet.
